Puzzle Days!

On Wednesday and Thursday this week we’re hosting HPS Maths Puzzle days. Out go whiteboards, pencils, pens and paper – In come wobbly icebergs and penguins, marble runs, jigsaws and mosaic puzzles! We want our children to develop new thinking skills and apply them in ways they’ve never done before, and on Thursday afternoon you’re invited to join in! Year 5 & 6 parents,

Bikeability starts Monday for Year 5 and 6 – children that signed up will need to bring a fully checked bike (please make sure both brakes work etc) plus a helmet. Please remember your helmet, you won’t be able to ride without one.

STEM went well!

A great week of STEM activities last week, including making our own irrigation systems, designing waterproof clothing, soundproofing ourselves, green screen work and a whole load more! Check out the year group pages on our website for more.


Next week is STEM week here at HPS and we can’t wait. We’ll be delving deep into Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths every day. We hope to inspire everyone and make some fantastic creations of our own. Stay tuned for updates throughout the week!

Meet the teacher

We have Meet Your Teacher sessions starting today at 2.30 with Year 2 and continuing over the next handful of school days for the other year groups. We’d love to see you there!

Welcome back!

Welcome back to a new school year at HPS! We’ve been hard at work getting school ready with some exciting new spaces and more than a little bit of fresh paint. We can’t wait to get started on a great year of learning!
