Year 6 have spent the morning exploring caves near St. Briavels and have just set off on the journey home. On the way to collect them the coach encountered pretty heavy traffic and the driver’s predicted arrival time at HPS is around 5.30pm depending on just how bad the queues still are. A short while ago HPS was invited to the Cambridgeshire Young People’s Film Festival awards ceremony to celebrate the submissions of our children and find out if any had won an award. Four of our submissions did get an award! You can see some pictures from the evening and view the films that our children made on this page.

The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays and we’re taking part at HPS! You can sign up at your local library, then read six library books of your choice to complete the Challenge. Just a reminder that today is the final day for after school clubs this term, there will be no clubs running next week.
Congratulations to the three children chosen for an award by our local Rotary club yesterday – The award was for being especially community minded and a good citizen. These children were chosen from all those nominated across the school and received a £25 gift card as part of their award! Congratulations, we’re very proud!
Congratulations to HPS Girls football team who won their Semi Final match yesterday against Warboys in the Hunts HDSFA shield! A cracking match, and we’re off to the final – we’re very proud! Just one more match to lift the champions trophy!
Year 6 are off on their residential trip to St. Briavels tomorrow (tues) for a week of excitement! Children should arrive at the normal time for school tomorrow. Make sure you’ve packed everything on the Kit List, and leave your luggage outside the office on your way in so it can be loaded on the coach. We’ll be posting updates from the trip on
Congratulations to those children who achieved 100% attendance this year – that means not a single minute of school missed all year! They’re off to Frankie & Benny’s today for a Pizza making (And eating!) experience to celebrate. Well done everyone!
