The Ofsted report for HPS is a very good report recognising the many strengths of the school, in particular the OUTSTANDING judgement for Personal Development. An Outstanding judgement is incredibly hard to achieve and reflects the excellent work of the children and staff.

- The early years curriculum is carefully planned.
- The school has a clear ambition for reading.
- Pupils like the fact that staff are ambitious about what theycan achieve. They enjoy the different subjects.
- The school ensures that pupils with SEND are wellsupported.
- Poor behaviour is not accepted, and pupils behave well.
- Pupils feel confident about going to staff if they have anyworries.
- Pupils trust adults in the school to deal with any incidents ofbullying if it does occur.
- Governance is strong because governors know the school well.
Ofsted 2024 – What is it like to attend this school?
“Huntingdon Primary School is an inclusive school where pupils are happy. They are proud of the sense of care and community that permeates the school. Pupils respect each other and value the school’s culture ofcelebration irrespective of who you are. Parents and carers also appreciate the school’s nurturing ethos.”
There is one small development point relating to the teaching of skills in Geography. We will now ensure that this development is addressed quickly.
The Report
We are incredibly pleased that Ofsted have recognised the great improvements that Huntingdon Primary School has made. We will continue to work hard and are striving to improve on everything we do and are aiming for Outstanding overall next time!
