Pupil Premium 2014/15 Funding

This money is sent to schools based on the numbers of pupils who are eligible for Free School Meals.

From 2012, it was expanded to include all children who have been eligible for free meals within the last 6 years. This money is allocated to initiatives to ensure pupils reach their full potential, both academically and socially.

For the academic year, the school has received £187,000 in Pupil Premium funding.

This money is being used towards helping provide th initiatives listed below, with the shortfall being added from the general budget.

Planned Spend Aim

Breakfast Club

£4,000

To help pupils start the day with a healthy meal.  This allows them to come into school alert and ready for learning.The money has funded provisions and staffing of the club.

Additional Teaching – to close the gap

Inclusion Workers

£40,000

To support pupils through all different aspects of life and to teach social skills and self-esteem.  These staff members also support families.

Family Support Worker

£23,000

To support pupils through all different aspects of life and to teach social skills and self-esteem.  These staff members also support families.

Funding Places on School Trips

£5,000

To ensure the children are able to participate and to give the children the opportunity to experience new and challenging activities.  A percentage of the cost of trips and visits was paid.

Resources for Vulnerable Pupils

Subsidised places at school clubs allowing the children to participate and to give children the opportunities to experience new and challenging activities.
