HPS Farmers Market Wed, 18 Jul 2018 14:03:28 +0000 We would like to invite you to our Farmer’s Market this Friday!

Our year groups have been hard at work making handicrafts, growing fruit and vegetables, and preparing some yummy food!

Our Market will be held in the Purple Main Hall/Courtyard areas. There will be refreshments available in the upper part of the hall.

We can’t quite fit everyone into the purple hall/courtyard at the same time, so we’ve divided up the day as follows:

Foundation Stage, Year One, Year Two: 9.15 a.m. – 10.30 a.m.
(Please bring your Foundation Stage/KS1 child to their classroom as usual. Adults can then go back around the front of the school and through the main office)

KS2 classes – Years Three, Four, Five and Six: 2.15p.m. – 3.15 p.m.
(Please come through the main office.)

We can’t wait, we hope to see you there!

House Winners! Tue, 17 Jul 2018 09:13:16 +0000 Congratulations to house Amethyst who just squeeked the yearly house points win over an incredibly hard charging Citrine.

Citrine came made an incredible charge from 7th place at the start of this last term, all the way to second, missing out on the win by just ten points!

Citrine actually scored more than double the points of Amethyst in this final term as they raced to catch up , they just couldn’t quite get over the line (410 Vs. 170). Good try Citrine!

The full points breakdown is on our Celebrations Page.

Attendance Awards Fri, 13 Jul 2018 08:44:32 +0000 Congratulations to those children who achieved 100% attendance for the whole of this academic year. That’s not a single minute of learning time lost all year!

Over 40 children celebrated with a visit to Frankie & Benny’s to design, cook and, most importantly, eat their own pizza!

World Cup Mon, 09 Jul 2018 16:09:44 +0000 We have been getting into the spirit of the world cup in early years. We have been thinking about all the teams who are taking part and looking at the different flags for those countries. Here is some of our world cup writing so far!

Rotary Awards Thu, 05 Jul 2018 14:35:37 +0000 The Rotary Club came into school on Tuesday to celebrate some children at HPS who have gone above and beyond in their community.

These children were recognised for their efforts for fundraising, raising awareness and being a good community role model. Well done to all who received an award and for being a good citizen for HPS!

Special Visitor Wed, 04 Jul 2018 09:15:52 +0000 Yesterday, Year 4 had a very special visit from Mrs Laguna and her beautiful baby boy Julen. The children have been learning about how we change as we grow in PSHE lessons and had previously written some questions they would like to know. When Mrs Laguna was in, the children were able to ask their questions and get some real life answers. We had a fantastic morning and the children have found out lots of information about how to care for a baby.

Summer Playcheme Tue, 03 Jul 2018 09:53:44 +0000 The Nursery School has been lucky to receive some funding from the Huntingdon Freeman’s Charity to enable us to offer a free summer holiday playscheme to our families this year, and we have a limited number of spaces available to offer to Huntingdon Primary School children.

Children must be aged between 3yrs and 7yrs (year 2).

The children must be resident in Huntingdon.

Unfortunately we cannot offer places to children who are under 3yrs old.

The scheme will run for one week, 30th July- 3rd August 2018 and will be run by the staff team at Huntingdon Nursery School. The places are for 5 half day sessions, 9am-12pm (morning) or 12.30pm-3.30pm (afternoon).

If you would like to apply for your child/children to attend, please come to the Nursery School office and complete an application form. These places will be offered on a first come first served basis.
