On Thursday 2nd March, the Huntingdon Primary School A football team took part in a tournament at Brampton School. Taking part along with HPS was Buckden Primary and Brampton.
HPS played 4 games, losing 2 and drawing 2. The games were really even and HPS held their own against the other teams.
Buckden proved to be our only defeats losing 1-0 and then 2-0 but the score line does not tell the whole story. HPS had chance after chance to score but that goal just did not come.
We had a hard fought 0-0 draw against Brampton before scoring our only goal in the second game against them. HPS fought hard to keep hold of the half time lead but unfortunately the game ended 1-1.
The children, despite not winning, had a fantastic time and have shown what true team spirit and resilience they have!
We are proud with how far they have come in a short space of time!
