With the trip to The National Gallery in London fast approaching, we wanted to clarify the final details and expectations for the days. We’re taking around 500 children with us, so there’s some organising to be done!
Year 1 and 2: Monday November 12th
Year 3: Thursday November 15th
Year 4: Tuesday November 13th
Year 5: Wednesday November 14th
Year 6: Tuesday November 20th
Children will be expected to arrive promptly at school for 7:50am to leave at 8:15am. All children must wear full school uniform on the day, including comfortable and durable school shoes. We ask that children do not bring portable electronics including mobile telephones on the trip.
Children may bring a maximum of £5 spending money which will be their responsibility for the duration of the trip and should be placed in a purse or wallet.
As we know, the weather is often unpredictable so please ensure all children have appropriate clothing e.g. rain coats. All children must bring a packed lunch, unless you have previously stated that your child is eligible for a free school meal. We strongly advise that children are packed up with an extra drink and a snack as it will be an extended day for the children.
We will be Leaving the National Gallery at 2:30pm and aim to arrive back at school for around 4:30-5:00pm.
However, these timings are dependent on traffic and so you will find timely updates on the school website and social media pages to keep you up-to-date as we approach HPS.
