We are all so excited to be back in school and have already got stuck in to our new topic: Traditional Tales. This week we are looking at the story of the Three Little Pigs and are thinking about the different materials used in the story. In Maths we are exploring the number zero and what zero looks like. In Phonics we are finishing up our Phase 2 recap.
Reminder: Meet the Teacher is being held this Thursday (16th January) from 2:30-3:00. Please do come along and meet the teachers working with your children. We’ll be passing on information about tapestry, this term, and are happy to answer any questions you may have. We hope to see you there!
Thank you to everyone who came to watch the children in their Nativity this week. They did brilliantly and looked amazing! We hope you enjoyed watching as much as we enjoyed performing.
Thank you for your support with costumes, learning lines and song practise,
The EY Team
The Early Years children are working so hard in their nativity practise and we can’t wait to show everybody next week (Thursday 12th, Friday 13th). We ask if parents could please help children to rehearse their lines and bring in costumes before Tuesday (10th). Thank you!
We look forward to performing for you!
Early Years are very excited to be raising money for the charity ‘Huntingdonshire society for the blind’ this half term. Huntingdonshire society for the blind is an independent, local charity which was set up in order to raise money to support people with sight impairment. Money raised goes towards visual mobility aid equipment and events. It also supports a home visit outreach service. Please check the link below to find out more: https://www.huntsblind.co.uk/
To help this fantastic charity, Early Years will be holding a lucky dip game in which children have the chance to win a small treat. There will also be two bigger prizes up for grabs. This will take place during the lunch times on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th November in the EY base.
Your children will need 50p per go for the chance to win a lolly and can have unlimited tries. All participants will pick out a lolly from a concealed box. If their lolly has a red dot, they get to keep the lolly. If they pick out one of two lollies with a green dot, they win a small hamper of treats.
