In year one we have really been enjoying our STEM week activities. So far we have researched about the famous scientist Charles Mackintosh and explored his invention of waterproof material. We investigated different materials which led us to design our own raincoats. We have been exploring how materials change state and melted chocolate to create our own crispy cakes! We still have lots of exciting activities planned for the rest of the week such as designing and building a parachute for an egg. We have also been enjoying spending time in our new science shed investigating the properties of materials and look forward to spending more time investigating in there!
Just a reminder that we have PE on Tuesday afternoons so please remind your child to bring their PE kit in.
