Watch Out Hollywood!

Week of 22.11.19

Huntingdon Primary has been practising drama!  We have been very lucky in Year 6 to have a 3 day visit from members of the CHOL Theatre, who work with teachers to bring drama into the classroom and into learning.  Pupils have had an amazing time, with Beatrice sharing, “At first I was kind of excited because I did not know what was going to happen. When we started doing the drama, my favourite was doing the clap game.”

In the classroom we have also been working hard on creating persuasive speeches, which we plan on recording to Seesaw.  Andrei felt good; He said, “I felt a bit shy when we started recording, but now I feel fine and happy that now I did my speech and I finished all of my work”.  The pupils have also been honing their maths skills by not only completing their school work, but by spending time doing mini maths challenges at the start of each lesson.  “I like it, cause it reminds us of what we have already learned,” shared Hannah. Andrei also was happy with maths because he feels that he has practised a lot and he now understands how to work out the area of a triangle.  Remember to check Seesaw to see what we have to share!
