Year 6

We are very excited to be back in Year 6! Last term was adventurous as we completed our refresher in multiplication and division, as well as our introduction to the world of the Early Islamic Empire. We have created Geometric art, shared presentations on the City of Discovery, and have had a very fun PE session mastering the Haka!    Ruben enjoyed writing a narrative in English as he says he has really liked describing being lost in the desert. In Maths, Harry enjoyed everything! He says, “Multiple digit addition and subtraction operations were interesting because it was like, hard, it was not easy. I like Maths”.

This week we have continued our journey through the Early Islamic Empire, focusing on script writing, creativity and how to present work.  Vicky used descriptive writing in her work for History, which focused on the 5 Pillars of Islam. She shared, “I’ve really enjoyed History because not only were we able to be taught something new, but we were able to put it on Seesaw!”  This term Year 6 is looking forward to learning survival skills, applying team-work techniques and design. Check back in weekly to hear our thoughts on our continued learning and growth.
