A large chunk of school funding for the year is based on how many children eat a school lunch on this one day on Thursday 19th January. This funding goes directly to maintain resources and a good quality of education for your children.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 may have a school lunch every day free of charge – this is called Universal Free School Meals and is funded by the government.
Parents/Carers of children in Years 3 to 6 who receive Free School Meals will not be charged for this lunch. The cost for other children in Years 3 to 6 is £2.20.
