Other Charity Work:

As well as our regular year group organised charity drives, we also sometimes hold special charity fundraisers for specific issues, sometimes stretching over a longer time frame. Read about them below:

Diamond Hampers Christmas appeal

Diamond Hampers, which is based in the town centre, provides food aid to vulnerable families across Cambridgeshire.

We Devlivered!

We had the pleasure of walking the older children into town to deliver the food. The food donations were very gratefully received.

Thanks to your generosity, last year’s appeal was hugely successful, and so this Christmas we are pleased to say that we will once again be supporting Diamond Hampers.

As a whole school, we will be collecting food donations. The children will be involved in sorting the food and helping us to
deliver the donations to The Pantry in Huntingdon.

We hope that with your support and donations, we can make a difference to those in need within our community.

The children walked from school in the frosty weather to hand-deliver the goodies to The Pantry.

The items have been kindly donated by the families of the children and they were very proud to make their delivery.

UNICEF
Summer appeal

In these troubled times, we have selected the charity UNICEF which supports children in the UK as well as children abroad in areas of war and conflict.

We Raised: £1,625

Thank you to everyone for your support, and to the children for their hard work organising the events.

UNICEF report that over half of the refugees on the move in Ukraine are children.

Over the next few weeks we will be doing some work with the children to enable them to understand more and think how we can give to others.

UNITED NATIONS INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S EMERGENCY FUND

WORKING TO KEEP CHILDREN HAPPY, HEALTHY AND SAFE.

When war breaks out or disaster strikes, children can lose their schools, their homes and their families. Their access to water, food and shelter can be seriously affected and they are left more vulnerable.

UNICEF has a presence in 190 countries so can rapidly reach children and families with support when an emergency happens.
