Supporting Charity

Previously the children have worked hard to support their chosen charities, arranging simple year group fund raising activities

Every child has the right to grow up in a safe and inclusive environment.
Every child has the right to survive and thrive.
Every child has the right to learn.
Every child has the right to a fair chance in life.

In these troubled times, we have selected the charity UNICEF which supports children in the UK as well as children abroad in areas of war and conflict.

UNICEF report that over half of the refugees on the move in Ukraine are children.

Over the next few weeks we will be doing some work with the children to enable them to understand more and think how we can give to others.

UNITED NATIONS INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S EMERGENCY FUND

WORKING TO KEEP CHILDREN HAPPY, HEALTHY AND SAFE.

When war breaks out or disaster strikes, children can lose their schools, their homes and their families. Their access to water, food and shelter can be seriously affected and they are left more vulnerable.

UNICEF has a presence in 190 countries so can rapidly reach children and families with support when an emergency happens.
