Dear Parents/Carers

SCHOOL CLOSURE

The Government has announced that All schools will close immediately for the majority of children.  Clearly nobody was expecting this.  Learning will be put online for most children from tomorrow morning.

Children of Critical Workers

If you are a Critical Worker your child is entitled to attend school every day.  We have sent out a survey link to enable parents who believe they are Critical Workers to complete a registration for their children.  (There is a link within the survey which defines a Critical Worker.)

If your job falls into the category of Critical Worker your children may come to school as normal from tomorrow.  They should enter school by the usual entrance and will be seen out onto the same playgrounds as usual at the end of the day.
Hours:  8.45am to 3.20pm Monday to Friday.
Please be aware we will required to check the details you provide if we are to allow your children to attend every day.

Please see the list of what counts as a Critical Worker: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision#critical-workers

Children who are Vulnerable

If your child has an Education Health Care plan they will also be entitled to attend school every day.  During the first Lockdown parents of children with EHCP plans discussed this with Mrs Farrington before making a decision.  We suggest that  therefore you wait for Mrs Farrington to phone you tomorrow morning so that you can discuss with her how to best meet the needs of your children.

Free School Meals

We will now wait for the Local Authority to send information about the WONDE vouchers received at Christmas.  These will again be issued.  If you require a packed lunch to help you over the next few days and are able to collect from school, please email me directly.

Technology

If you do not have the technology at home for your children to complete their online learning, we will be able to loan a device.  We will send a message tomorrow so that you can request to borrow a device.  (This will then be available from Wednesday.)

We will be in contact again tomorrow with further details  Please remember we will do what we can to support you.  We are in school, just phone.  Alternatively, you can message the class teachers via Seesaw.

Kind Regards
