Lego League UK Finals

by | Apr 26, 2024

After winning our regional finals in Peterborough our Lego League team, Sensory Overload, went to the UK National Finals in Harrogate on Saturday the 20th April.

After an amazing day of performing in the Robotics Missions and delivering our Innovation Project to a panel of judges and being quizzed for half an hour we came away with a trophy for our Innovation Project.

An amazing day and we’re incredibly proud of our team. Over 550 teams made up of over 4,000 children took part in Lego League and we got all the way to the final round with 74 of the best teams from around the UK and were one of the few to come away with a trophy!

What is Lego League?

Friendly competition is at the heart of Lego League, as teams of students ages 9-16 engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering – building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. As part of Challenge, teams also participate in a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem.
