Hola y beinvenidos!

Welcome back to Year 6!  This week has been full of wondrous activities, such as cooking, the circulatory system, Holes, fractions and an introduction to Spanish.  In English we have been exploring parts of North America by beginning our next class reader: Louis Sachar’s Holes.  Pupils have been learning about the American state of Texas by following the strange tale of Stanley Yelnats as he is sent to Camp Green Lake.  Monday’s Geography allowed us to continue the subject of America by discovering the many countries which actually make up North America.    Maths has helped us exercise our brains and prepare for SATs by working out how to multiply and divide fractions.  The pupils have done quite well with expressing these concepts on Seesaw. As pupils spent last term learning about circuits in PE, this term Science and PE will focus on the Circulatory System.  Our week ended with an amazing cooking/food prep activity by our wonderful chef Mrs. Griffiths.  Please look for photos of the activity on Seesaw and leave a comment on how you and your family enjoyed the veggies we created.
