In year two this week we have been looking at different animal habitats and exploring what the word habitat means. We have spent time observing different habitats and micro-habitats in the school ground. We found plenty of mini beasts on our investigation.
Today we have had the opportunity to explore the habitat of a robin. We used our prior knowledge of bird habitats to make some sensible predictions about where a robin might or might not live. We went outside and built our own nests for a robin and explained why we used the different materials.
