Week 24.2.20

Welcome Back!  Year 6 is rested and ready for the term to come; This week we have started our new Maths Boosters and extra revision groups in preparation of SATs.  Keep an eye out for extra revision in your child’s homework folder. We are continuing our trip across America by researching the amazing life and imagination of Frank L Baum.  This has helped inspire our pupils, who have all joined in the 500 Word Challenge by posting stories made of 500 words (or less) on the class blogs. Pupils across the country have submitted stories to the BBC’s 500 Word Challenge competition,  where a panel will pick a winner. Huntingdon Primary School has chosen pupils from each year group for consideration! The winning author will then be published AND be chosen to visit Buckingham Palace! We have continued our exploration of the arts by diving into the fascinating work of Ansel Adams.   Inspiration abounds in Year 6!
